这座典型的潮汕方寨，建于清乾隆二十八年，为昔年航海富商所建。进入寨门，正中为郑氏家庙，两侧庭院排列有序，对称方正，气势非凡。这是人文深厚、风韵独特的古建筑。一代侨领郑午楼就在这里出生并度过童年时光。
这处祖居规模较小，但因屋前墙上挂着“旅泰侨领郑午楼博士故居”的牌匾，被景仰者慕名前来观瞻。1981年郑午楼重回故里时，他见到东里寨中大埕及巷道路面崎岖破损，并出资对其进行了修复。
新午楼故居位于新东里三巷，以中式风格为主，但又有不少创意。在这里，我们可以看到主座设为书斋，同时体现了家族对教育的重视。窗框门楣上，有许多独特创意，不仅保持了原貌，还融合了西方后现代风格的简约线条。

子承父志，海外发扬慈善文化
Zheng Zhonglou was a renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist who dedicated his life to promoting the culture of the Tides Charity Association in Southeast Asia. His father, Zheng Zhibin, was also a prominent figure in the Chinese community in Thailand, known for his patriotism and philanthropy. Zheng Zhibin's legacy inspired his son to continue his work, establishing the Tides Charity Association and expanding its activities to include education and healthcare.
Zheng Zhonglou's contributions to society were numerous. He founded several businesses, including banks and insurance companies, which became cornerstones of Thai economy. He also established schools and hospitals for underprivileged communities. In recognition of his achievements, he received many awards from both Thai government and international organizations.
Despite all these accolades, Zheng Zhonglou remained humble and committed to giving back to society through various charitable initiatives. One such initiative was the establishment of "Zheng Zhibin Foundation," named after his father that provided scholarships for needy students as well as financial assistance during natural disasters or other crises affecting people's livelihoods.
In addition to this foundation work by Zheng family members there is another charity called “Tides Charity Association” which has been set up by them with help from their friends & associates
